During a renovation of our office at 1919 Studio, we’re moving across the street to the top of 920 Broadway. Giving us an impeccable view of downtown Manhattan. Shot with my Canon 50mm 1,4f. 6 pictures stitched together in photoshop.

Once in a while, after walking endless miles in the concrete jungle of New York, constantly being surrounded by police sirens, ambulances and fire troops, and swimming in millions of people, you need to get out and get a snippet of fresh air and new locations. The first destination in my new ‘Escape NYC’ series goes to Niagara Falls, a 5 hours bus ride from the metropolis.

While eating a nice sunday brunch in our Brooklyn apartamente, we had the pleasure of enjoying a cascade of fire trucks and police cars with their alarming sirenes shudder through our brownstone windows. As part of a daily New York experience we tried to overhear these rather annoying noises, but after 5 minutes nonstop sirenes, we realized it could be an accident of bigger dimensions.

Here comes the first series of my Polaoid series of New York. Even though I take a lot of digital pictures, there is nothing like the look and feel of a polaroid, and the magical appearance of a perfect photo without the presence of Photoshop.
